Siri Bergman is a 34-year old psychologist who runs a private practice in central Stockholm together with her former classmate Anja, the older therapist Sven, and their receptionist Marianne. After her husband's death in a diving accident, Siri has lived alone in a cottage in an isolated area east of Stockholm. She has tried hard to convince herself that she has moved on, but her past is about to catch up with her. Even though she goes to bed leaving all the lights on – and often has more than one glass of wine – she is unable to shake the feeling that someone is watching her through the opaque windows at night. Isn't it a rotten time for her beloved cat to go missing? And why is someone sending her disquieting photos of herself?
