In convulsed Europe there is a revolt against the Catholic hierarchy. While is declared the freedom of religion, in the outskirts of the city, the Catholic army prepares retaliation. Later, when the revolt is just a memory, an inquisitor wants to identify the author of a manuscript, especially venous, with heterodox ideas on the functioning of the human body.
